Beautiful 3-bedroom cottage with natural swimming pond in the heart of the Black Mountains, on the edge of pretty market town Talgarth, just 7 miles (12 minute drive) from Hay-on-Wye. We are writers and travellers, and the house is filled with art and textiles we have collected from Central Asia and the Caucasus, so it is full of colour, books and lovely things. Whether you want to relax, walk, cycle or go to the Hay festival, this is an ideal base. One of the best things about our house is the outside space, and the fantastic views over the Black Mountains. We have a natural swimming pond, a little orchard and a lovely garden. You can swim in the pond, lie in a hammock under the apple trees, sit around a firepit under starlit skies (we are in a Dark Skies reserve) or simply enjoy the views of the mountains as you listen to Red kites and buzzards keening overhead.
